Optical Comparator (12x Magnification)
An important tool for testing E13B MICR characters printed by conventional or digital means.
When placed over a MICR character the user can compare its dimension against the precision engraved glass-measuring reticule. The vertical alignment guide and skew scale also identify non-conformance to such factors. The different sized squares are used to estimate the size of any voids or extraneous ink/toner present.
Ultra Violet Light

APCA Position and Layout Gauge (aka Glardon Gauge)
The APCA Position and Layout Gauge is a clear overlay printed with a number of guides. It includes a code-line overlay, character size guides, alignment and skew tolerance guides and examples of the size limits for extraneous ink/toner.
