RDM MICR Qualifier GTX
To ensure cheques comply with APCA MICR encoding standards it is important to maintain an in-house quality control program. RDM's Image Qualifier (IQx97-OCR) is the industry standard for validating the image quality of cheques against the US ANSI and the Australian APCA standards.
The Image Qualifier testing system includes a calibrated tabletop scanner and tests cheque designs for conformance to "Image Capture" requirements. It verifies legibility and quality of the captured images, and can check MICR and OCR character dimensions.
RDM's IQ has automatic features to measure reflectance and contrast values of printed cheques to determine if they meet APCA's cheque design requirements. It measures all reflectance values by automatically sampling a greyscale image of the document.
